I would prefer to collect a series of limited edition inks rather than clothing, jewels and perfume since I fall in love with calligraphy! :D
I wrote this broad edge Gothicized Italic A by using the new "Stroke of midnight" limited edition ink from Ferris Wheel Press. I added some filigrees learnt from the demo by Benoit Furet in my very first IAMPETH virtual conference experience! The fillers in gold is from the handmade watercolor vy the Creative Kinds.
I am so glad to have the chance to see the demos from amazing calligraphers and here is my first attempt to decorated a letter with filigrees. I found it is too small to add the golf clubs and filigrees to fill the center parts even I wrote it with a 4.5 mm pilot parallel pen.....anyway, the result is not too bad. Instead of adding the filigrees in the center, I extended the filigrees outside :D

According the introduction, Ferris Wheel Press “Stroke of Midnight” 2021 Christmas limited edition ink is mesmerizing like perfume and jewelry with a very secured signature brass cap, and is inspired by Musée d’Orsay, the work of 19th-century French architect Victor Laloux.

It has an elegant navy blue color tone as the base color, mixed with fine gold and silver glitters. The ink shows high level of purple red sheen on my Tomoe River Paper notebook as below.

When it is compared with another special edition Lady Rose in Gold from Ferris Wheel Press, the shimmering and sheen effect on stroke of midnight ink is absolutely more obvious and mesmerizing. The shimmer of lady rose in gold is definitely on the subtle side with even finer sparkling. (though both are very lovely inks that I truly enjoy writing with!)
I like it very much!!!!!!!!!!!!😄😄😄😄
